Privacy Policy

The short version

Milesmate is a free site with calculators and articles about airline and hotel loyalty programs. We do not sell personal information, and we do not require an account. The only routine data collection is anonymous website analytics, and that only runs if you accept cookies.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and which calculators get used. Until you press Accept on the cookie bar, Google Analytics runs with storage denied: it sets no cookies and no identifier is kept on your device. If you accept, it stores a cookie so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor. It records things like the page visited, approximate location by country or region, referring site, and device type. We never see your name, email, or exact address through analytics.

Cookies

• Your cookie choice. Stored in your browser so the bar does not reappear on every page. This is not shared with anyone.
• Analytics cookies. Set by Google Analytics only after you accept.
• Third-party cookies. The contact form is hosted by Typeform and loads inside our contact page. Typeform may set its own cookies when that page opens; its handling of that data is covered by Typeform's own privacy policy.

The contact form

Anything you type into the contact form, including your email address if you give one, is sent to us so we can reply. It is used for that reply and nothing else. It is not added to a marketing list and is not sold or shared.

Referral and affiliate links

Some credit card and travel links on this site are referral links, which means we may be compensated if you apply through them. Those links take you to the company's own site, where that company's privacy policy applies. Recommendations are ours and are not influenced by whether a link pays.

Your choices

You can decline analytics cookies at any time using the button above, and you can clear cookies in your browser settings at any point. If you are in the EU, UK, or a US state with a privacy law, you may also ask what data relates to you and ask for it to be deleted. Because we do not hold accounts, that generally means analytics records and any message you sent us.

Children

This site is aimed at adults planning travel and is not directed at children under 18.
