AT&T Will Give You 5,000 Free AAdvantage Miles
AT&T customers can now claim 5,000 free AAdvantage miles through the AT&T Perks program. Here's how to activate the offer and what you need to know.
If you’re an AAdvantage member who also happens to be an AT&T customer, there’s a nice freebie to grab right now. AT&T is offering 5,000 complimentary AAdvantage miles through its customer perks program. These are essentially free miles for doing nothing more than activating the offer.
AT&T has been quietly building out a subscriber benefits program that looks a lot like what T-Mobile has done with their T-Mobile Tuesdays promotions over the years. The latest addition is one of the better airline-related perks I’ve seen, and is worth claiming. 5,000 miles is enough for a domestic flight at the low end of AA mileage redemptions.
Take advantage of this as soon as possible. As the offer page states, the first 65,000 eligible customers to link their accounts will receive 5,000 bonus miles. After that, eligible customers will only receive 2,500 bonus miles.

How to Claim the Offer
The process is straightforward:
- Open your AT&T account: Log into the myAT&T app or the AT&T website using your account credentials
- Navigate to AT&T Perks: Look for the “Perks” or “Rewards” section — this is typically under your account dashboard or in the main menu. You can find the direct link here: https://andmorebenefits.att.com/
- Find the AAdvantage offer: Scroll through available perks until you see the 5,000 AAdvantage miles offer
- Activate the offer: Click or tap to activate — you’ll be prompted to login to AA.com in order to link your AAdvantage account
- Wait for the miles to post: Processing time can vary but typically 4-8 weeks after activation
Here’s what you’ll see after reaching the final step:

What to Know Before Activating
A few things worth understanding before you claim:
- One-per-account limit. You can only claim this once per AT&T account, not per line. If you have multiple lines on your account, the whole account gets the single 5,000 mile perk.
- Make sure your AAdvantage name matches. The miles get credited based on the AAdvantage number you provide. If the name on your AAdvantage account doesn’t exactly match the name on your AT&T account, there may be issues with the miles posting.
- Miles are redeemable but not Loyalty Points. These are standard AAdvantage miles but don’t count as Loyalty Points toward status qualification. If you’re chasing status, these help your redeemable miles balance but not your Loyalty Point progress.
- Processing takes time. Don’t expect the miles to show up immediately. 4-8 weeks is typical for third-party promotional credits like this. Be patient.
Why This Is Worth Doing
5,000 AAdvantage miles is legitimately useful. At the baseline value of 1.4 cents per mile I use for AAdvantage, that’s roughly $70 of value for about 2 minutes of effort.
More practically, 5,000 miles is enough to meaningfully contribute to a redemption:
- At the low end it can cover a one-way domestic economy - I frequently see saver tickets prived around 5k miles for routes like WAS-NYC or during AA’s frequent mileage sales.
- Nearly half the value of a standard domestic award which are often priced between 10-12k AAdvantage miles
- Progress toward an aspirational partner business class redemption at the standard 57.5k rate
For zero cost (assuming you’re already an AT&T customer), there’s no reason not to claim this.

The Bigger Picture
AT&T adding airline miles perks to their customer benefits program reflects a broader trend of mobile carriers using loyalty program partnerships as retention tools. T-Mobile has done this for years with T-Mobile Tuesdays, giving customers various free gifts and discounts weekly. AT&T is building a similar program.
For AAdvantage program users, this is pure upside. Services you’d be paying for anyway (your mobile phone bill) now come with miles-earning perks. Combined with AAdvantage Shopping, credit card earning, and co-branded card promotions, these little add-ons help your AAdvantage balance grow faster.
My Take
If you’re an AT&T customer and have an AAdvantage account, 5,000 free miles for 2 minutes of effort is one of the better value-per-time trades you’ll find in the loyalty space.
AT&T will presumably rotate what’s available in their perks program over time, so claim this one while it’s live. By the time this offer ends or changes, you should have your miles safely in your AAdvantage account.
Bottom Line
This is an offer worth rushing to complete! Log into your AT&T account. Find the perks section. And activate your 5,000 AAdvantage miles offer.
Enjoy! It’s not every day you get a free miles promotion like this. Grab it while it’s active.
