Gameway Airport Gaming Lounges: A Great Concept You're Probably Ignoring
Gameway operates 12 gaming lounges across 8 US airports. Priority Pass access, complimentary snack and drink, and one of the more fun airport concepts around.
Airport lounges have gotten a lot of coverage on this site. What hasn't gotten enough attention is a different lounge concept that's been quietly expanding: Gameway.
It's not a traditional lounge with a buffet and seating. Best of all you won't run into long lines or wait lists. It's one of the better ways to spend a couple hours between flights if you have any interest in video games at all.
I was skeptical when these started appearing. That's changed after visiting Gameway locations at DFW, CLT, and LAX. Here's the full picture.
What is Gameway
Gameway is a chain of airport gaming lounges. Each location has:
- Individual gaming stations with Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and high-end gaming PCs
- Large 4K TVs at each game station
- Razer Iskur Gaming Chairs and Kraken headsets
- A retro gaming bar at some locations with classic titles
- Snack and beverage service including soft drinks, coffee, and in some cases alcoholic drinks
- High-speed Wi-Fi and charging ports
You get your own gaming station which is sanitized before each use. Controllers and headsets are also wiped down.
Where Gameway Operates
As of mid-2026, Gameway operates 12 lounges across 8 airports:

Access Methods
Priority Pass: Priority Pass members get access to Gameway lounges. Complimentary access typically includes one soft drink and one snack per visit OR one alcoholic beverage. If you want to continue gaming beyond your allotted Priority Pass time or upgrade to more premium options, card holders get 10% off additional time.
Paid: Anyone with terminal access can pay to use Gameway. Pricing starts around $19.95 for a 30-minute session, with one-hour and unlimited-play options available at higher price points.
Priority Pass is the primary "free" access route.
The Underrated Move: Grab Snacks Without Playing
Here's an approach worth knowing. As a Priority Pass member, you can visit Gameway and use your complimentary snack and drink benefit even if you don't intend to game. Walk in, grab a soda and a snack, and leave. If you're on a short connection and don't have time to actually sit down and play, you can still get the food and drink benefit.
In practice most Gameway staff are relaxed about it, particularly at busier hubs. If you have a Priority Pass and you're passing through an airport with a Gameway, it's worth a stop even if you're not planning to game.
Why This Works
Airport dwell time is a real problem. Between security wait uncertainty, gate changes, and general schedule anxiety, most travelers arrive at airports with time to fill. Traditional lounges fill part of that gap but are as overcrowded as ever.
The hardware is legitimate. These aren't Xbox 360s with old games. Gameway uses current-gen consoles, PCs, new release games, comfortable gaming chairs, and good headphones. Someone did research into what a good gaming setup looks like.
It works for solo travelers, families, and even short-notice killer time. Priority Pass grants access to a lot of traditional lounges too, but a family with kids may have a much better time at Gameway than they do at a business-focused lounge. And the solo traveler who wants an hour of unwinding with a game has an option that didn't exist a few years ago.
The staff is good. This is what I noticed most across my DFW, CLT, and LAX visits. The staff is great (and you can tell many are gamers themselves.) It's a great vibe.
Final Thoughts
I was skeptical when these first started opening and I was wrong. Gameway has become one of the better Priority Pass experiences. If you're passing through DFW, CLT, LAX, JFK, HOU, DTW, MDW, or PIT - or IAD once it opens later this year - check whether there's a Gameway close by. Even 20 minutes with a controller in hand before is a better airport experience than a crowded contract lounge and picked over cheese cubes.
