Delta Just Overhauled Delta One. Here’s What’s Changing.
Delta unveiled its biggest Delta One refresh in nearly 30 years. New menu, Blanton's bourbon, revamped wines, Dassai sake, and new Missoni amenity kits.
Delta announced today a comprehensive overhaul of its Delta One product that the airline is calling its “largest investment and most holistic redesign in nearly 30 years.” This is notable not because of a new seat, but because Delta is retooling virtually every aspect of the Delta One soft product. These changes touch menus, wines, amenity kits, and service touchpoints.
For anyone who flies Delta One, this is a big upgrade. Here’s what’s coming.

Where This Launches
The refresh starts rolling out on transoceanic Delta One routes departing Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) this fall. Delta is specifically positioning LAX as the launch point because it’s the airline’s number one airline position in the city with the most premium seats. The full network rollout happens in early 2027.
A New Food Program
The dining program is probably where the most substantial changes are happening. Delta partnered with Chef Simon Hulstone to redesign the menu alongside Delta’s in-house culinary team.
New offerings include:
- Delta One Wagyu burger with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and cornichons on brioche
- Roasted Sea Bass with tomato tarragon sauce
- Hong Kong-style Sea Bass (regional menu)
- Braised lamb entrée with red wine demi-glace
- Beef short rib with red wine demi-glace
- Rich seasonally rotating risotto with wild mushrooms
- Macaroni and cheddar cheese topped with garlic breadcrumbs
- Chicken Caesar salad as an entrée option
The Delta One sundae cart also gets upgraded options including a new signature chocolate sauce, Amarena cherries, and pecan praline crumble garnished with a soft doughnut. There’s also a new Napa Valley-inspired cheese plate featuring Cowgirl Creamery and Cypress Grove cheeses.

The Beverage Program
When it comes to beverages, there are several significant additions:
- Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon — Delta becomes the first and only airline to serve this Kentucky bourbon, available onboard starting December 1. Blanton’s is often difficult to find at retail and ranks among the most sought-after single-barrel bourbons.
- A new wine program developed with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson. Delta notes that it reviewed 1,600 wines and curated the list down to 13 selections from 11 wineries. Notable inclusions include Napa wines like Silver Oak ( $200 retail per bottle). Delta is also expanding its Champagne Taittinger partnership to domestic Delta One flights.
- Dassai 45 Sake joins Delta One on flights to and from Tokyo-Haneda starting November 3.
- Cocktails and mocktails including Hugo Spritz and Paloma are also coming early next year.
Pre-Order Changes
Delta is extending pre-select entrée ordering to 18 hours before departure (6 hours closer than before). They’re highlighting this as making Delta the only US carrier to offer pre-order this close to flight departure.

The Service Experience
A new “sip and settle” moment will deliver a hot towel, warm nuts, and a preferred beverage pre-dining. Delta also redesigned the tableware to feature more than 60 new pieces featuring the Delta widget design, developed through extensive research and testing.
Amenity Kit and Other Updates
New Missoni amenity kit debuts November 3 as part of the “Winter Elsewhere” collection. The kit features a wrist strap designed for use after landing and includes Grown Alchemist skincare, Marvis dental care, and other premium contents.

The Context
Delta has been aggressive about positioning itself as the US premium leader for a while now. The scale of this announcement - Delta is calling it their “largest investment and most holistic redesign in nearly 30 years” - reflects the level of commitment. It also comes on the heels of similar enhancements coming from American and United.
My Take
This is a significant soft product refresh. For the broader US airline competitive landscape, this raises the bar on what business class service should look like.
Rollout starts at LAX this fall and expands globally in early 2027. If you have Delta One trips planned, keep an eye on when your route transitions to the new experience.
