Hyatt has a public tool showing every existing and upcoming hotel. Filter by brand, region, or status. Genuinely useful for trip planning.

Hyatt maintains a public map and directory of every open and pipeline hotel across their global network. It’s filterable by brand, region, and status. It's very useful for planning and Brand Explorer optimization, and most people don't know it exists.

    What the Tool Actually Does

The tool has four main filters:

Brand - filter by any Hyatt brand across the portfolio (Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Andaz, Thompson, JdV, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Alila, and everything else)

Hotel Status - Open (already operating) or Pipeline (announced but not yet open)

Geographical Area - filter by region

State - filter by state within the US

You can combine filters. Want to see every Andaz pipeline property globally? Filter Brand → Andaz + Status → Pipeline. Want to know every Hyatt property in Portugal? Filter by region.

The map view is particularly good. It allows you to zoom into a specific city or region and see every open Hyatt property plus everything in development.

    Why This Is Useful

Trip planning for new destinations. If you're thinking about a trip to a specific city and want to see all Hyatt options in one place, this tool surfaces everything much cleaner than a standard hyatt.com search. Pipeline properties are marked distinctly, so you know what's coming versus what's already bookable.

Brand Explorer optimization. We covered Brand Explorer recently. It’s the promotion where Hyatt rewards you for staying at different brands within their portfolio. If you're actively working through the brand list, this tool makes it easy to see which brands have properties in cities you're planning to visit. Want to stay at a JdV or a Thompson but not sure where to find them? Filter by brand and pick from the list.

Award redemption planning. Pipeline properties are announcements. Some will open on schedule, some will get delayed (as I learned with the Hyatt Regency Rome), and some may never open. But knowing what's coming lets you plan a trip 6-18 months out around properties that will be new when you visit.

Property research. Each listing includes a link to the individual property, so you can drill into location details, expected opening date, and specifications for upcoming properties.

    A Small Detail Worth Knowing

Not all Hyatt properties on the World of Hyatt loyalty program map are on this development tool, and vice versa. The tool is focused on Hyatt-branded properties in development or already operating under one of Hyatt's brand names. Some SLH (Small Luxury Hotels) partner properties that are bookable through World of Hyatt might not appear here since they're partner properties rather than Hyatt-owned or franchised.

    Bottom Line

This is a useful tool that Hyatt doesn't market to loyalty members. If you're actively engaged with World of Hyatt - like chasing Brand Explorer, planning trips, or just curious what's coming to specific cities - it’s worth a bookmark. Two minutes with the map filters will surface information that would take significantly longer to piece together from individual property pages or the standard Hyatt.com search.
